The wait for Final Fantasy XV on PC is almost over. Square Enix is releasing a demo of the game today that will give fans the chance to check out the game before its March 6 release date. The FFXV PC Demo will be available on Steam, Origin and the Windows Store and contains the full first chapter of the main game.

In the ffxv demo, players will follow Noctis through a dreamscape in which he is being led by a Carbuncle summon spell. The demo will showcase a different side to the game that won't appear in the main story, showing off Noctis as a child in a dream world. The demo will also showcase some of the more exotic locations in the game including a large lake, woods and even a cave.

While the demo is impressive visually, there are some issues that should be noted. First of all, the graphics in the demo are limited to 720p 30fps. This is a shame as the full game is capable of running at 1080p 60fps. The other issue is the camera controls which are not as smooth as they should be. The camera jerks around especially when near walls and objects making it difficult to properly view the surroundings.

The ffxv demo is free to download for PC users and is available now on Origin and the Windows Store. Users who have Nvidia cards will be able to take advantage of the native 4K resolution support for the game with enhanced graphical settings that offer a more immersive experience.
