The premise of four blood moons review is that there are rare times when Scripture, science and history align. He claims that these lunar events are tied inextricably with Jewish High Holy Days and prophetic scriptures such as Joel 2:31 which says, “The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.”
Pastor Hagee’s belief is that these four consecutive lunar eclipses beginning in April 2014 and ending September 2015 (a tetrad) are unmistakable signs that God’s plan for the world and His special blessings for Israel are about to be fulfilled. He is joined by experts including Scott Evans, a JPL scientist who discusses the perfectly synchronized alignment of the Earth and moon during these events producing a blood red moon. Rabbis and Christian Pastors also weigh in on what this might mean.
This is a very entertaining and informative docudrama. It is well presented and features some of the best scientists, historians and journalists who have ever been on screen. However, it is based on a flawed and dangerous idea that solar and lunar events are predictive signs of the end of the world.
Pastor Hagee has a heart for the Jewish People and is sincere, but he is grossly wrong about matching this Tetrad with bible prophecy. His claim that these lunar events are not astrology is laughable as he has failed to give credit to his own co-author of the book on this subject, Mark Biltz. Biltz understands astronomy and the science behind these events and far exceeds Hagee’s shallow understanding of Jewish history and America’s relationship with Israel.
