garmin 67lmt review

Garmin is often viewed by GPS enthusiasts as the leader in automotive navigation. They typically reserve major innovations for their Advanced series devices but this year the Essential Line is getting a few big improvements that might make them even more competitive at the entry-level price point.

One of the biggest is full Foursquare integration which adds a ton of relevance to searches for restaurants, shops and other places. For example a search for Barber will give you a list of results sorted by distance from your location and also include a rating and other useful information. This feature could be a real timesaver when it comes to planning routes and also helps simplify navigation of bigger complex destinations like malls and airports.

The device is preloaded with detailed maps of the lower 49 states and features free lifetime map updates. It also offers Lifetime Traffic which is beamed directly to the device and analyzed to provide congestion avoidance suggestions. This service is ad-supported so you may occasionally see small text-based ads but they don't seem to interfere with navigation or menu functions.

If you're looking for an easy to use dedicated car GPS that isn't reliant on cellular signals and won't suffer from cellular dead zones, then the garmin 67lmt review is definitely worth checking out. ExpertGPS software makes it easy to upload and download Garmin nuvi 67LMT waypoints, routes and tracks, view them over seamless USGS topo maps and aerial photos, and much more. It works with the GPS coordinate system of your choice (state plane, UTM, lat/lon, or MGRS) and also lets you create a database of POIs from address geocoding.
