Garmin watches' Fenix line has long been beloved among outdoor enthusiasts and multi-sport enthusiasts, and their latest edition was launched at the beginning of 2022 with features that cater to multi-sport enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. Track any sport imaginable thanks to the tracking options for any activity; plus it provides navigation tools for GPS- and map-based adventures alike! Additionally, its fitness trackers boast daily tracked metrics including steps, distance walked, calories in/out tracked daily via heart rate variability; sleep quality monitored via heart rate variability; stress via heart rate variability and intensity minutes while it also tracks resting heart rate resting heart rate blood oxygen levels floors respiration cycles menstrual cycles and more - among many more metrics!
Garmin seems unlikely to make major modifications for their forthcoming Fenix 8 device; however, we do anticipate a few differences from current Garmin devices. First and foremost, we anticipate more storage capacity onboard the Fenix 8, and this extra memory should be devoted mostly or exclusively to maps - one key feature in the Fenix lineup and made simpler to access with free map packs and Map Manager apps for both Fenix 6 and 7 series devices. With additional onboard space available, Garmin could equip this model with TopoActive maps right out of the box.
Garmin should enhance their Fenix 8 with additional features by including a built-in microphone for voice assistant access or calls without needing their smartphone nearby. Furthermore, this microphone could allow hands-free audio streaming during workouts with VIRB Elite sports headphones or be used for hands-free audio streaming through hands-free audio streaming with headphones like Viper Elite headphones from Garmin. We would also love an ECG sensor on board that would monitor heart rates for any signs of atrial fibrillation (AF).
The Fenix 7 is an incredible device, and we don't expect that its successor to change drastically in terms of design or looks. The Fenix line has proven incredibly adaptable with many strap options, colors, and watch faces to choose from; additionally it may even outperform its predecessor in durability!
if you are shopping for a fitness tracker, we highly suggest the Garmin Fenix 8. It is one of the most versatile, high-end GPS devices on the market and packed with incredible features designed for multi-sport athletes. Additionally, its affordability makes it a good option for those on a tight budget. More details regarding Fenix 7 compared with 8 can be found by visiting Garmin website and informing us as more becomes available; in the meantime feel free to reach out with any inquiries on Facebook or Instagram!
