Gerard Bertrand cote de roses review
In celebration of the Mediterranean lifestyle that stretches alongside the Languedoc coast, this classic blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grapes from top Languedoc winemaker Gerard Bertrand is as elegant as its bottle. A crisp and floral rose, it combines fruity aromas of summer fruits with cassis and red currant.
This wine is a perfect aperitif, but it's also a lovely partner to shellfish and subtly spiced dishes. It's fresh and lively, with a clean finish that will leave you wanting to drink more.
It's not too sweet, so it's great for summer drinks!
The bottle is designed to look like a rose and there's a really nice glass cork stopper. It snaps open easily, makes re-corking super simple and it seals perfectly.
It's a refreshing wine that isn't too sweet, yet has an incredibly delicate nose of strawberries and raspberries on the palate. It's a great summer wine, and will pair well with light seafood, salads and chicken.
Cote des Roses is a beautiful pale pink/salmon color, with a bright fruity bouquet on the nose and a lovely crisp, juicy palate with cranberries, watermelon and pink grapefruit. This is a lovely summer drink that pairs well with all types of sushi and mildly spicy food.
We think this is a wonderful summer wine for the price and it's really easy to find at Costco! It's a great, affordable way to enjoy a refreshing glass of wine for Memorial Day or any week-end!
