Lancôme’s new mascara Grandiose has been getting a lot of hype and it’s not hard to see why. Featuring the industry’s first “Swan Neck wand”, it’s supposed to work with your face shape for easy application. It promises length, lift and volume to your lashes. The packaging is gorgeous and definitely worth displaying on your vanity. The sleek black acrylic tube fades from black to clear near the top with a stunning black rose encased in the center. It’s definitely the fanciest mascara I’ve ever owned!
The wand has a long zig-zag and then a thin precision brush at the end that is suppose to separate and coat each lash evenly. It’s also designed to grab lashes close to the roots and then fan them out, corner to corner, with the first stroke. Adapted to suit different eye shapes, this mascara creates a spectacular wide-angle fan effect.
The wand is pretty comfortable in my hand and I’ve found it easy to use. I love the fact that you can easily flip it up to the side to reach the inner corners of your eyes. It really makes it easier to apply mascara at the outer corner and then flip it down for the inner lashes. It also seems to be easy to get rid of any clumps with this wand as well. Overall, I’ve been loving using this mascara and I’m definitely going to continue to use it. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the length and thickness of my lashes when I use it and the wand is just so easy to work with!
