Using the same model as Stitch Fix and Trunk Club, greyscale goods will send clients boxes of clothes and accessories handpicked by their personal stylists. But this time around, the service is taking a gender-neutral approach, serving people who don't fit into the typical masculine or feminine styling.
This particular photograph illustrates the point well: removing the distraction of color allows the texture of these boys' plastic begging cups, their shirts, and even their grimy skin to be emphasized. The result is a more pleasing photo with a calmer mood.
There are many benefits to converting to grayscale, including the fact that it is said to be easier on the eyes -- reducing the urge to keep checking your social media or YouTube notifications until you finally go to bed (hopefully). But in my opinion, there is one more important benefit of grayscale: it makes a huge difference when viewing photographs that were not taken at high resolution. The images are not only much sharper, but the colors seem to come alive a bit more, too.
