How Long Does Target Hold Pick Up Orders

Using the free Target app and website, guests can place pickup orders for eligible items to be picked up at the store's designated pickup station. The service is offered for both in-store and drive-up pickup. Orders are automatically charged to a guest's payment method once the items are ready for pickup. Shoppers can track their pickup status in the Orders tab of the Target app, which also offers notifications when a pickup is ready to be retrieved.

According to the company's policy, Target stores usually have pickup orders prepared within two hours of placing them. However, it states that select stores may need up to six hours to prepare curbside and Ship to Store pickup orders. The company notes that these stores typically are newer locations that are training large groups of team members.

It also explains that certain items require extra time to be prepped, including fresh groceries and Starbucks products. If customers don't pick up their items during the three-day window that begins when their orders are first available, the company will cancel them and refund the original amount. However, shoppers can extend the pickup window for orders that don't include perishables by extending it on their order details page.

Target also states that it prices its products the same in-store and online, as well as on its mobile apps, and that it offers a Price Match service for any lower advertised price found after a purchase has been made (terms apply). It also provides a wide selection of coupons and promotions through its Target Circle loyalty program and a variety of other sources.
