Hunter Doohan is one of Wednesday's breakout stars, thanks to his deadpan stare and macabre humor. He previously made waves as Adam Desiato in the critically acclaimed Showtime series Your Honor alongside Bryan Cranston. He has also starred in the films Soundwave and Where We Disappear, and has appeared on TV on shows like Westworld, What/If, and Schooled.
In addition to stealing the show as Wednesday Addams' love interest, Tyler is an interesting character in his own right. He comes from a storied lineage of outcasts and has his own troubled past. We see hints of a rocky relationship with his father, Sheriff Galpin (Jamie McShane), and he has anger issues that he can't quite control. He also misses his late mother, Francoise, and is unable to talk about her.
Before meeting Wednesday, Tyler came under the attention of Marilyn Thornhill, a seemingly inoffensive Nevermore botany professor who is actually Laurel Gates. She knows of Tyler's hidden hyde side and begins manipulating him for her sinister plan. Tyler becomes her pawn by being injected with various plant-derived chemicals to unlock his hyde abilities. As a hyde, Tyler has superhuman strength and mobility, which he used to battle Enid Sinclair in her werewolf form.
While Jenna Ortega is the face of Wednesday, the cast has a variety of ages and backgrounds. Tyler, played by Hunter Doohan, is the oldest at 28 years old despite Wednesday being in her late teens on the show. Mossa Mostafa, who plays Wednesday's friend Eugene, is actually 13 in real life!
