If you’re not happy with your LinkedIn experience or find the platform is no longer helpful for your business needs, you might choose to cancel your premium subscription. However, it’s important to understand the consequences of doing so and make sure your goals still align with the platform before making a decision.
LinkedIn premium is a paid subscription service that offers users access to features such as InMail messages, advanced search options and more. According to LinkedIn, about 39 percent of its 575 million worldwide users subscribe to the service. While the tools available through LinkedIn premium are valuable, some users find the costs don’t justify the investment.
You can cancel linkedin premium in a few easy steps on your desktop computer or mobile phone. First, open the LinkedIn app and click the Me icon — your face — at the top of the screen. From there, select “Premium Subscription Settings” and navigate to the Manage Premium Account tab. Click the Cancel Subscription button and follow any prompts to confirm your choice.
Cancelling LinkedIn Premium on a mobile device is slightly different. You must first open the LinkedIn app and tap your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner to open your menu. From there, select the “Profile Settings” option to see your profile information and click on “More”.
On a mobile device, you can also tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to access your profile settings. Once you’ve opened the menu, click on “More” and then “Subscriptions.” If you have a Premium subscription, this should be the fourth option in the list of menu items.
