How to Change Caller ID on iPhone

Changing your Caller ID on the iPhone allows you to display a different name when calling people that don’t have you saved as a contact. You can do this in the Phone app by tapping the “Recents” tab or using the on-screen keypad. Once you’ve changed your Caller ID, people will see the new first and last name you’ve chosen instead of your phone number. It also helps prevent some people from ignoring or blocking your calls because they don’t recognize your name.

If you’re trying to change your Caller ID and your contacts aren’t updating their phones, you may have an issue with your carrier. You can try contacting your carrier via their mobile app or website. For example, T-Mobile has a mobile app that allows you to manage your account and make changes. If you’re having trouble getting your name to update, you might want to try logging into your T-Mobile account online and going to More > Profile settings > Caller ID. You can then choose a line and enter your new first and last names.
