How to Change Time on Apple Watch

In most cases, you don't need to change the time on your watch. Apple Watch automatically takes the time from your iPhone, so it never runs fast or slow, and it adjusts for Daylight Saving Time. But you can set the time manually if you need to.

Changing the watch face is another way to customize your Apple Watch. You can view all the available faces in the Face Gallery, then choose one to customize its colors and features, or add it to your collection of favorites. When you're done, press the Digital Crown to save and set your watch face.

You can also see the time by raising your wrist or using the clock in grid view. You can even hear the time, if you have Taptic Time turned on. To turn on hearing the time, open the Settings app, tap Clock, and then tap Sound & Haptic Feedback.

If you're managing a family member's watch, use Screen Time to configure controls on the device. For example, you can schedule time away from the screen and impose limits on iTunes Store and app purchases, explicit content, and more.

Make sure your Apple Watch is using the right date and time zone, so it's showing accurate data. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Date & Time, and then turn the switch next to "Set Automatically" on. It may take a few seconds for your watch and phone to sync.
