How to Connect Bose Headphones to Mac

If you're having trouble connecting your Bose headphones to your Mac computer, the first thing you should try is making sure they're charged and in Bluetooth pairing mode. Then, make sure your Mac is set to use your headphones as the default audio output device by navigating to System Preferences/System Settings and choosing Sound. From there, click Play sound effects through and select your Bose headphones.

In some cases, your headphones may need to be reset to clear out any existing connections and start fresh. This process is relatively quick and easy. It can be performed by pressing and holding the power button on your headphones for 10 seconds. This will turn off the headphones, clear the current Bluetooth device list, and put them in pairing mode. After a few minutes, you should be able to pair them with your Mac without issue.

You should also keep in mind that your Bose headphones can only remember up to 7 or 8 devices at a time. Therefore, pairing them with too many different devices might interfere with connectivity. This is why it's important to regularly clean up your headphones' Bluetooth device list.

The process for setting up, customizing and unpairing your headphones is similar to previous Macbook versions. The only difference is that menu and function names might be slightly different in the latest version, macOS 13 Ventura. For more details, check out the following article.
