Bringing your PlayStation with you on a trip can be a fun way to pass the time. But the connection to your hotel's WiFi network may be limited and cause your games to lag or disconnect. Luckily, there are some things you can do to resolve this issue.

Make sure your PS5 is updated to the latest software version. This can help prevent bugs or connectivity issues that can affect the setup process. If you have any issues connecting your PS5 to the hotel's WiFi, restart both the console and the device. This can often resolve connectivity problems and allow the devices to connect to the network.

It could also be a simple matter of network congestion. If too many guests are trying to connect at the same time, it can slow down the connection and even prevent the devices from logging in. If this is the case, try reconnecting at a later time when the connection is less busy.

Another option is to connect your phone via USB tethering. This will use your phone's data plan to get the PS5 onto the hotel's WiFi network. To do this, open the Settings app on your phone and enable the mobile hotspot feature. You'll need to enter the hotspot password when prompted.

Once your phone is connected to the PS5, the hotel's WiFi sign-in page should open. You'll need to enter a Wi-Fi password and accept any terms and conditions. Once the PS5 authenticates, it should display a green check mark and say success.
