Snapchat is a social media app that’s not really built to last. It’s an app that’s all about being in the moment and sharing things you don’t want to keep forever, like a funny picture or video.
But if you post something on your story by accident or don’t like it and want to delete it, there are ways to do that. While Snapchat stories delete automatically after 24 hours, you can also remove a snap from your story at any time.
To delete a story on snapchat, open the Snapchat app and tap your Bitmoji or profile icon in the top left corner of the screen to get into your profile. From there, swipe up to open your Stories and scroll down to find the Snap you want to remove. Tap the three dots to the right of that Snap and then tap “Delete Story” on the resulting menu.
You can also delete a Snap from your story by finding it using the Search or Snap Guide options and then tapping the trash can icon at the bottom of the screen. If you’re having trouble locating the Snap, try deleting it from your camera roll or Memories before attempting to delete it from your story.
You can also stop your friends from viewing your Snapchat story altogether by blocking them. To block someone, find their name in the Snapchat chats list and then tap the X that appears next to their name. Once you’ve done this, your friends won’t be able to see your Snapchat stories until the block is lifted.
