Instagram is a popular social media platform that allows users to upload photos and videos. It also features various editing options, filters, and stickers. The app also lets users follow other accounts, view trending content, and search for specific photos and videos. In addition, Instagram offers business profiles and advertising opportunities.
If you have a story on your Instagram account that is no longer relevant or is potentially offending someone, it might be best to delete the story before things get out of hand. Here is how to do it.
Before deleting a story, you may want to consider the impact it could have on your followers or any conversations that it might spark. Additionally, you should think about whether there is any way to salvage the story by taking a screenshot or saving the video/photo to your device. You should also consider letting your followers know why you are removing the story from your profile, as this will help to avoid confusion or speculation.
Once a story has expired and disappeared from your Instagram profile, it is moved to the Stories Archive section of your account. You can then access this by tapping your profile picture in the top right corner of the app. You can then select a story from the archive to reshare or delete it for good. Deleting a story from the archive does not delete any interactions or replies associated with that story, which will continue to be visible in your Direct messages and message requests sections of your profile.
