iCloud is a handy cloud storage service provided by Apple that automatically backs up and syncs your messages, photos, videos, contacts and more on all devices linked to your iCloud account. If you have lots of text messages on iCloud, they can take up a lot of storage space. This may cause you to want to remove useless SMS on iCloud for some reason, like freeing up space or for security reasons.

Thankfully, there are several ways you can delete your texts on iCloud efficiently. For example, you can disable iCloud syncing for the Messages app by opening the Settings app on your iPhone and tapping your Apple ID at the top of the screen. Next, tap iCloud and then toggle off Messages in the list of apps.

Another option is to use the Messages app on your iPhone to delete individual messages or entire conversations. Simply swipe left over a conversation or select it and then tap Delete Messages to clear them. For pinned conversations, you can tap the trash can icon to delete them from your iPhone.

Lastly, you can also check your iCloud storage usage on the web by signing into iCloud with your Apple ID and clicking the Menu icon then selecting Your iCloud Storage. This will give you insight into your iCloud storage usage, including which apps are using up the most space. In addition, you can permanently empty your texts on iCloud with a third-party tool without risking any information being lost.
