If you're an HBO Max subscriber, or pay through a cable/satellite/internet TV provider that includes the service in your subscription package, you can download shows to watch offline. This is useful if you're traveling, have limited data usage on your mobile device or don't want to use up all your available data on streaming content. You can access your downloaded HBO Max films and shows in the 'Downloads' section of your profile page. You can have up to 30 downloads at a time across all devices and profiles that you are signed into.
The HBO Max app makes it easy to browse, search and find the content you want to download for offline viewing. On the show details page, look for a download icon (which is usually represented by an arrow with a cloud beneath it). Once you see this icon, tap on it to begin downloading the show to your device. Depending on the size of the show, this may take a few minutes to complete. Once the download is completed, you can access your show in the "Downloads" section of the HBO Max app at any time.
While HBO Max is known for its high-quality dramas and groundbreaking series, it's also got a wealth of comedy and documentary content, including smash hit comedies like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Veep and critically acclaimed documentaries like McMillions and The Case Against Adnan Sayed. In addition, the app offers popular reality and lifestyle shows from Discovery Networks including House Hunters, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Chopped and Say Yes to the Dress.
