Apple Watch is a great way to stay on top of your health and fitness goals, track your productivity, and communicate with others. It’s also an excellent way to keep up with notifications, answer calls and texts, and even control your music. But what if you wanted to add an additional layer of functionality by adding a keyboard?

In watchOS 8, Apple finally added a keyboard for the Apple Watch. This feature is available on the Series 7 and above, and is enabled by default. To bring up the keyboard, tap a text field in any app that supports typing. If Scribble is active, swipe up and tap one of the keyboard language options.

If you have an older Apple Watch device, you can still use the dictation feature or download a third-party keyboard app to type on your watch. The keyboard features on the Apple Watch are based on your iPhone’s language settings, so if you want to change languages, you must reset the iOS keyboard settings on your iPhone.

To disable the Apple Watch keyboard notification on your iPhone, you must first open the Settings app on your paired Apple device and select General. Then, tap Language & Region and select the English option. You can also download a free iOS keyboard app like WristBoard, which lets you use a QWERTY keyboard to send messages on your Apple Watch. The app’s features include word prediction, auto-correction, and support for multiple texting formats including AZERTY and QWERTZ.
