How to Get XDefiant Beta Access

Ubisoft has a new shooter to show off, and the publisher’s latest free-to-play title XDefiant is currently in an open beta phase. XDefiant is a franchise-mashup FPS with 6v6 matches, 14 maps, and factions that represent different worlds of classic Ubisoft games. Interested players can get into the beta through a couple of different methods.

The easiest way to get access is through registering online on the game’s official website. This is a good method for players who just want to be sure that they’re enrolled in the beta, but it doesn’t guarantee you’ll actually receive a code.

A second option is to tune into creators streaming the XDefiant beta on Twitch. The closed beta phases usually line up with Twitch’s Drops campaigns, so if you can catch a streamer broadcasting the beta (with drops turned on) for around 30 minutes, you’ll have a decent chance of getting an XDefiant beta code.

Lastly, you can sign up for the XDefiant beta on the Ubisoft Connect website. However, this method will only get you access if you sign up within the first 48 hours of the closed beta’s launch. If you do sign up for the beta, Ubisoft will email you a code that will grant you access on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with full crossplay support between those platforms at launch. You can also access the XDefiant beta through your Twitch account if you have it linked to your Ubisoft account.
