Whether you want to monitor your entryway or your home for valuables, Ring has the right product for your needs. The company's latest offering, the Ring Always Home Cam, even features a built-in indoor drone to keep an eye on things while you are away. However, before you can set up the device and begin monitoring your property, you must first complete the Ring camera installation process. The following tips can help you ensure your Ring installation runs smoothly.

1. Check Your Space

Identify potential mounting locations for your Ring camera, taking into account both visibility and Wi-Fi connectivity. You should also consider the location's proximity to power outlets. Since Ring cameras require constant electricity and have a 6.5-foot cord, it's important to ensure the camera will be able to reach a power source safely.

2. Set Up Your Device

Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your camera to your home's Wi-Fi network. Once the camera is connected, it should be listed in your app and have a green square with a check mark inside. You can also adjust camera settings through the app, such as adjusting motion detection sensitivity and notifications.

3. Mount Your Ring Camera

Before you mount your Ring camera, remove the base or stand from the back of the device and secure it to the bottom of the camera using a Phillips screwdriver. Afterwards, place the camera in your desired position. Be sure to consider any security concerns, such as pointing your camera into neighbors' windows or yards.
