Whether it's straps digging into your shoulders or a band that sags in the back, an ill-fitting bra can be really annoying to wear. Thankfully, finding your correct size is a simple process that can be done with the help of a professional fitter at most lingerie stores or even from the comfort of your own home.

Start by taking your measurements with a tape measurer, either in the absence of a bra or wearing a non-padded one (it should fit around how you'd normally wear it). Wrap the measuring tape snugly, then if it's an odd number, round up +1 inch to get your band size. Otherwise, just round up to the nearest whole number.

Once you've figured out your bra size, it's time to consider how to dress the part. While it's always a good idea to tuck in any excess fabric, you can also make your lingerie look more chic by wearing bra straps as bracelets.

You can easily whip up your own bra strap bracelet with a little bit of repurposing, all you need are some old, discarded bras, scissors and a needle and thread. Cut the back strap of your bra off just above where it meets the band and above the adjustable part. Loop the end and sew a button on there, add some beads or embroider your initials to give it a punk-inspired twist.
