Making a google form public allows you to share it with anyone on the internet who has the link. People can then click on the form and fill it out. They will not be able to edit the results or see any other responses or the name of the person who filled out the form. This can be beneficial for many different types of organizations. You can use the information to get feedback from customers, create a quiz for students, or even collect applications for a job.
To make your google form public, go to the settings tab on the top right and toggle to the “Responses” section. Here you will find the option to require sign in and other settings that dictate who can respond. You should also turn off the option that collects email addresses.
After you have made your google form public, a new window will appear with options to share it via email, as a direct link (with the option to shorten the URL or generate a QR code), or by embedding it into your website. Once you have selected your preferred method, you will be presented with a URL that can be copied by clicking on the “Copy” button.
To test your Google form and make sure it is publicly available, open a browser that is not automatically signed into your account or an incognito tab. Access your Google form and try to submit a response. If you are able to do so, your Google form is public and accessible.
