How to Make a Snap Unsavable

Snapchat is an interesting social media app that allows you to send quick snaps that automatically delete after a short period of time. It has huge features like filters and lenses that make the app ten times more fun to use.

The app has also added a few innovative features like Memories which lets you save snaps to your device’s storage and access them later. Despite all these features, Snapchat still has some loopholes that people can take advantage of. One such way is to use an air plane mode and then picture a snap that has already been saved off of Snapchat’s servers. This method works even if the Snapchat user has turned off the auto-delete feature.

There are also a few apps that let users save snaps in a more permanent manner. Some of these apps are called Snap Save, SnapSaver, and SnapBox among others. While they have many advantages, some of these apps are not recommended if you’re sharing private snaps with friends.

When you’re ready to create a Snap, tap the round capture button at the bottom of the screen. Then, swipe right or left to select a filter. You can also add a location, current time, speed overlays, or a Geofilter to your Snap. A timer icon lets you select how long the Snap will be viewable for (up to 10 seconds). If you want to share a link, tap the paperclip icon and enter a URL. You can also crop and resize your Snap, or add a sticker to it.
