How to Make Friends at Comic Con

Regardless of your fandom, comic con is a wondrous experience filled with endless possibilities and people who are excited to be there. It can be overwhelming for introverts, however, and if you don't make some plans ahead of time you could end up exhausted by the end of the weekend. That's why we've put together a guide to help you prepare for your first convention and make the most out of it.

One of the best ways to meet people at comic con is to talk to cosplayers. They usually have a costume that they've spent a lot of time on and they're a great source of information about the series, game or anime that they are cosplaying from. It's a good idea to compliment their cosplay and show some appreciation for the work that they have put in. They'll likely appreciate it too and be more open to chatting with you.

It's also a good idea to get their social media handles so that you can stay in contact with them after the convention. This is especially important if you aren't in the same area as them after the convention ends and you don't want to wait until you see them again to discuss your shared interests. Lastly, it's important to be aware that not everyone you talk to is going to become your friend at the con; some will blow you off and others may simply have other things on their mind such as their badge sale or hotel reservations.
