How to Mute People on TikTok

Tiktok is a popular platform that allows users to vertically scroll through short videos and interact with them. It can be used to share content, make calls, and even monetize videos. Users can also create their own videos with the help of Tiktok's built-in tools. However, some people might find the app annoying or distracting due to its loud music and ads. Fortunately, there are ways to control the experience by muting certain users.

Muting someone on TikTok is a great way to avoid seeing their content without blocking them completely. The process is simple and easy. To mute someone, simply open their profile and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. From there, select "Mute" and a pop-up window will appear asking you if you're sure. Tap "Mute" again to confirm.

Once you mute someone, they won't be able to see that you've muted them or receive message notifications. However, you can still send them messages and see if they respond.

Tiktok has recently added a new feature that allows broadcasters to mute viewers during live streams and live stories. The feature will allow hosts (or their trusted helpers) to mute viewers for several seconds or minutes, or the entire duration of the broadcast. Depending on the situation, this could be useful for broadcasters to silence inappropriate or offensive comments from their viewers. The feature is available now to all creators on the Tiktok platform.
