The Back Bay Duet 50 are a pair of true wireless earbuds that cost about half what many other comparable headphones do. They look good, sound great and offer excellent battery life. However, like other true wireless earbuds, they're not the best at staying in your ears and you might need to experiment with a few different sizes of ear tips to find one that fits comfortably and stays put.

To pair the Back Bay earbuds, remove them from the case and press and hold the pairing button on the charging case for three seconds. Then, tap the earbuds on your phone's screen to activate Bluetooth, which will prompt you to select them from your device's list of available devices. Once the earbuds are connected, they'll appear as My Devices on your iPhone or iPad, and a blue LED will illuminate when they're in pairing mode.

The earbuds support the Bluetooth 5.0 standard, and can play both SBC and AAC audio codecs. They have dual microphones for hands-free calls and are compatible with Siri. They also include a feature that automatically reduces volume when the buds are removed from your ears. Controlling your music is done by tapping on specific earbuds -- you can play and pause, control volume, initiate voice assistant, turn on bass mode and navigate songs. However, this is a pretty limited selection of commands that might be frustrating for some users. In addition, the earbuds only offer tap control for one earbud at a time -- you can't use them in both ears simultaneously.
