When you need to add someone into a picture for various reasons such as missing people, making an artistic composition or creating a meme, there are several ways to go about it. In this article, we'll discuss three methods including professional Adobe Photoshop software and an easy yet helpful online tool called FlexClip.

The first thing you'll want to do is find a photo of the person you need to add into the scene. Ideally, it should have the same background as the image you're trying to put them into. However, this is not a requirement for all cases.

Now that you've found the right picture, select it and make a copy of it by clicking Control + C (Windows) or Command + C (iOS). Open the target photo in Photoshop and click the Edit menu from the top portion of the screen. From the pulldown menu, choose Paste.

If you're using a picture with a lot of textures and tones, it's best to use the Quick Selection tool in order to get an accurate selection. This tool uses textures and tones to recognize edges and works well with contrasting colors. It is also much faster than the Pen tool, which can take quite a bit of time to complete. If you're working with hair, then you might need to use the Hair tool or Refine Edge, which both work well for hard-edged things and have a lot of options for brush size and shape.
