Sometimes you might wind up with nearly ideal photographs, but for some reason, a certain person is absent in the picture. Whether it’s because they couldn’t make it to the photoshoot, or maybe because they aren’t there in real life, whatever the reason may be, it’s very easy to add that missing person into your photographs using an image editor like Photoshop.
The first thing you will need to do in order to photoshop someone into a picture is to select the picture you want to use as your subject or model image. There are many different ways to do this, each with its pros and cons, but one of the most effective techniques is using a pen tool to outline the figure. This technique probably produces the most accurate cutouts of objects or people, and it is also very easy to do.
Once you have the selection you need, the next step is to isolate it. This can be done by clicking the Mask Layer button; typically it is found at the bottom of the layers window and looks like a circle with a rectangle. You will then be able to use other tools to erase any unwanted elements that might be present in the background of the target image.
It’s important to remember that photo editing can be dangerous if used without the proper knowledge and technique. If you are not sure of what you’re doing, it could result in you being used as part of a propaganda campaign, spreading false information about yourself or others, or even getting embroiled in illegal activities.
