Whether you're looking to fix an issue with your laptop or just start fresh, factory resetting your Lenovo laptop can be a great way to get back to a clean slate. However, it's important to know how to do it properly in order to avoid causing any unwanted side effects. In this article, we will discuss several different methods for resetting your Lenovo laptop to its original factory default settings.

Lenovo Laptop Factory Reset Methods

Some Lenovo laptops have a physical button that you can press to reset the computer to its original factory settings. This button is called the Novo Button, and it can be found on the side of the laptop. If your laptop doesn't have a Novo button, you can still use the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) to factory reset the computer.

In order to factory reset your laptop using WinRE, you'll need a USB drive with sufficient storage capacity. To create a USB recovery drive, visit the Lenovo support website and download the Lenovo USB Recovery Creator tool. Once you have the tool, follow the on-screen instructions to create a USB recovery drive.

Once the USB drive is ready, shut down the laptop and connect it to the power supply. Once the computer is powered on, boot from the USB drive and follow the on-screen instructions to factory reset the laptop. Choose the option to "Keep my files" if you want to preserve your personal data, or select "Remove everything" to completely wipe the computer's contents.
