There have been several complaints from Samsung users that they are unable to reset their Secure folder password. This is because they either don’t have the correct email address associated with their Samsung account or are not able to use the Samsung account password recovery service. This article is meant to help these people out and will provide them with a few different solutions that they can try to access their Secure Folder again.
First off, it is important to note that any apps or files placed into the Secure Folder will be locked on your device and can only be accessed by using the pattern, PIN, or password. As such, it is recommended that if you have any sensitive information stored on your phone or tablet that you back up a copy of it on a computer or other external storage media. Otherwise, you may lose this data if it is lost or accidentally deleted.
Once you have backed up your important files, you can now begin to protect them by placing them into the Secure Folder. This can be done by opening the Secure Folder app and entering your unlock pattern, PIN, or password. Once inside, you will be able to customize your preferences for how the Secure Folder functions by tapping the three vertical dots and selecting Customize. From here you can change the name of the app and even modify its icon to help it blend in with your other apps.
