If your Nespresso Vertuo is not brewing coffee as it should be, or if you want to restore the factory default settings, you will need to reset the machine. This article will explain how to do this step-by-step so that you can get your coffee back to normal in no time.

Start by ensuring that your machine is turned off and unplugged. This will help prevent any electrical mishaps during the resetting process. Also, make sure that the lever is in the unlock position.

Next, remove the capsule container and the water tank. Emptying these items will prevent water spills and other possible damage to the machine during resetting. You can also use this opportunity to clean various parts of the machine. This includes the drip tray, capsule container, and the machine head.

Once you have removed all of the removable components, you can now proceed with resetting your machine. The exact steps will vary depending on your model of Nespresso, so refer to the user manual for specific instructions.

Generally, you will need to press and hold the Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously for about five seconds. Once you have successfully reset your nespresso vertuo, the orange light will stop blinking and become steady green.

While the machine is resetting, it will be unable to produce any capsules. Once it is finished, it will automatically return to its factory default settings. These settings will change the amount of coffee dispensed (40 ml for Espresso and 110 ml for Lungo) and the auto-shutoff duration.
