When it comes to creating an incredible lighting experience in your home, Govee lights make the job incredibly easy. They work in tandem with the Govee app to allow you to control everything from color and brightness to schedules and effects. But if you have multiple govee lights, syncing them together is essential for creating a cohesive lighting experience. This article will walk you through the process of syncing your govee lights together so that they all work in unison.

Physically Connecting Lights

Before attempting to physically connect your lights, it's important to verify that the connectors are compatible. You can do this by opening the Govee app and going to the device list page. Once you've done that, select the light or lights that you want to create a group control for. Then, press the "+" button located at the top right corner of the screen. From there, you can select either the WiFi or Bluetooth control option and choose a name for your group control.

Smart lighting upstart Govee recently released an AI gaming Sync Box kit that syncs your lighting to what you're playing on your TV or monitor. The box uses an AI trained on a number of popular games to automatically trigger lighting effects that match the on-screen content. It's a handy alternative to a Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box, which has a similar function but is more expensive and lacks ARC support.
