When your iPhone is set to silent mode, you can still be alerted to calls, texts and notifications with a vibrating sensation rather than a ringtone that plays aloud. This feature is useful for a number of reasons, but it can also be disruptive in certain situations. For example, if you have a baby sleeping, or you are in a meeting and want to remain focused on the conversation, you don’t want your phone to ring loudly.

Fortunately, you can turn off vibration on iphone to prevent it from vibrating when it receives a call or text message in silent mode. You can also customize the settings so that your iPhone only vibrates when it is receiving a specific type of alert. You can even create your own vibration pattern to identify a call, text message, or app alert.

To change the iPhone’s vibration options, go to the Settings app and tap Sounds & Haptics. Then select a sound type, such as a ringtone or an alert tone and choose the vibration you want to use. To create a custom vibration pattern, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Vibration > Create New Vibration. Then choose a vibration pattern on the screen and save it by giving it a name.

If you’d like your iPhone to vibrate only when it is in ring mode, toggle the Play Haptics in Ring Mode switch on. You can also disable haptic keyboard feedback, which is a rumble that occurs when you type a letter on the screen keyboard.
