TikTok’s repost feature allows users to re-share other content creator’s videos with their followers. This is a great tool for sharing viral videos or even collaborating with influencers. However, it’s important to know how to undo a repost on tiktok in case you accidentally share the wrong video or change your mind. This article will teach you how to do so in just a few simple steps.

How to Repost on TikTok

The repost button on tiktok works similarly to Twitter’s retweet function. When pressed, it shares the original creator’s video on your For You Page and in your followers’ feeds. It also credits the original creator by displaying their username in the post’s caption. However, unlike a Twitter retweet, reposted videos don’t appear on your profile and can only be seen by your friends who follow you.

Unfortunately, the reshare button is tucked under a crowded Share menu and can easily be mistaken for another icon. This means that it’s easy to accidentally repost a video without realizing it. Fortunately, it’s just as easy to delete your reposts as it is to post them.

Removing a reposted video is a good idea if it doesn’t align with your brand or doesn’t perform well. This will ensure that your followers see content that you’re most proud of and help you maintain your integrity. On the other hand, deleting a video that might go viral later can be a missed opportunity for growth.
