Survivors in 7 days to die are going to have to build themselves an impenetrable base to survive the zombie apocalypse. A crucial building block that players need to use is the Wood Frame block, which can be upgraded into more sturdier blocks that will help them protect their bases against the undead hordes of the apocalypse. However, many players are unsure on how to upgrade the Wood Frame blocks in 7 days to die.

How to upgrade frame shapes

When a wooden frame block is placed in the world of 7 days to die, it can be upgraded into four different types of blocks, each with a unique look and varying durability. In order to upgrade a wooden frame block, the player must have the materials needed in their inventory and have a construction tool equipped. Once a frame block is targeted, the player must click the right button (L2 on PS4 or LT on Xbox) to initiate the upgrade process.

The first upgrade level for the wood frame block adds more wooden support over the item, which changes its look but doesn’t increase its hit points. This can be upgraded a total of 4 times. The second upgrade level increases the hit points and looks of the block significantly. This can be upgraded a total of 5 times.

The third and final upgrade level for the wood frame block turns it into a stone one, which requires 10 Cobblestone Rocks to upgrade. This block has more hit points than the previous two upgrades but not as much as a concrete or steel block would have.
