The hp probook x360 11 g1 ee notebook pc review
HP's budget Chromebook for schools has an easy-to-use operating system, durable design and strong battery life. It also comes with a suite of education-specific apps and software that helps students learn more effectively.
The laptop measures 12 x 8.2 x 0.8 inches and weighs 2.9 pounds, which is more compact than the 11.6-inch Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (3 pounds) and Lenovo 500e Chromebook (4 pounds). Its plastic chassis has a playful, prop-like aesthetic that kids may enjoy.
Under the hood is an Intel Pentium N4200 quad-core processor, which has a basic clock speed of 1.1 GHz and can boost up to 2.5 GHz. This frugal CPU masters the most intended uses for this computer, such as office work and web browsing. It's complimented with 4 GB of RAM and a 32GB eMMC SSD.
For wireless communication, a dual-band Intel AC-7265 module handles Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. There's a full RJ45 port for wired networks as well, and a microSD slot to expand the storage capacity.
In our benchmark tests, the laptop's performance was comparable to other entry-level devices. It scored 53.8 on our JetStream test for JavaScript, and came in behind the Acer Chromebook Spin 11, Lenovo 500e Chromebook and Dell Chromebook 5190 (all of which reached a higher score). It also trailed the Chromebook average (54.8).
The integrated Intel HD Graphics 505 graphics core handles the display output. It's adequate for basic 2D applications, but not for demanding browser games.
