kirkland chicken wings review

Chicken wings are a Costco staple and the Kirkland Signature frozen version is no exception. This 10 pound bag contains both wings and drumettes and can be cooked as you wish, including pan-frying, deep frying, baking or air frying. They’re ice glazed to prevent freezer burn and individually frozen so you can easily pull out as many as you want without removing an entire clump from the bag. These wings are made from chickens hatched, raised and harvested in the USA.

These wings are unseasoned and do not contain any artificial ingredients or flavors. They are also gluten-free, low in fat and a good source of protein. The packaging states they can be cooked from frozen but you may have to increase cooking time by up to 50%, so please check the internal temperature of the thickest drumette or wing before eating.

The Kirkland Signature frozen chicken wings are a little more expensive than the Foster Farms brand but less than you’d pay for take-out. But with food prices up 54% this year and wings costing as much as lobster, that extra expense could be tough on some budgets.

While these wings are not organic, they do come from humanely raised animals and are free of GMOs and added hormones. They do contain sodium, though. One 3-ounce serving has 460 mg of sodium, which is about half the amount of sodium adults should consume in a day.
