LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar Review
The newest advent calendar from Lego has arrived in time for the holidays and it features Guardians of the Galaxy. There are 24 doors in this calendar and behind each door is a gift. It's an interesting take on an advent calendar, as the gifts vary between Minifigures, accessories and scenery.
There are 6 Minifigures included in this set, Mantis, Rocket and Teen Groot are identical to the ones featured in the most recent Guardians of the Galaxy set The Benatar while Star-Lord features the older quiff hair style. It's also a good idea that the Mantis Minifigure comes with two faces, one neutral smile and another with her'meanest face'.
Snowman Thanos - This is a fun little spin on the Thanos Minifigure and it's great that this is in the form of a snowman rather than in a regular build form. The snowman comes with Thanos' iconic helmet, pauldrons and chest plate, a nifty way of ticking off this particular minifigure without using up any minifigure slots.
Holiday Sweater Drax - This is a nice touch for a Christmassy Marvel figure and Drax is dressed up in a festive sweater while also sporting a dancing Groot who has a Santa hat on. This torso printing is very on-trend for this season and the green of his hands and face compliments it nicely.
Nebula - She's a very festive Marvel figure and this is the first time we've seen her in a LEGO Advent calendar with a blue and purple cake! She's a really cool Minifigure and I hope that LEGO adds more to the range of Marvel figures they release in these Christmas calendars.
