Lenovo ThinkPad E575 Review

Powerful and durable, the ThinkPad E575 is designed to enhance productivity wherever work takes you. This 15.6" laptop is powered by an AMD A-series A10-9600P dual-core processor and features 8GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and more. The antiglare 1366 x 768 IPS display provides stunning visuals. Plus, it's easy to repair with external access to the battery and memory and a removable trackpad between the G and H keys.

The E575 is part of Lenovo's Edge series, an affordable line of business notebooks that use both Intel and AMD CPUs. Traditionally, this segment has been dominated by Intel, but in an effort to compete against the higher-end ThinkPad X1, Lenovo also offers cheaper lines of AMD equipped notebooks such as the E475, and now the E575.

These models are powered by a new generation of AMD APUs known as Bristol Ridge. This is a new platform that is trying to take on Intel in the business sector by offering lower-end APUs that include support for AMD DASH (similar to Intel's vPro), an important management feature for big businesses.

These models are not suitable for gaming or heavy multimedia applications, but are well suited for web browsing, light word processing and simple photo editing. The AMD A6-9500B dual-core processor is quite fast and the 4 GB of RAM is adequate for most users. The 500 GB hard drive is average size and the battery life is decent for this class of notebook.
