Lover Telugu Movie Review

Young hero Raj Tarun is going through lean phase with back to back flops. Lover produced by ace maker Dil Raju and directed by Anish Krishna of Alaa Elaa fame is aimed to break the jinx. But the film falls flat with routine story and nothing new to offer. Raj Tarun does his best and impresses with comedy timing and action sequences. But he could have improved his dialogue delivery in Rayalaseema accent.

The story has a routine plot where hero roams around to find the girl of his dreams and she surprisingly fall for him. Then the usual melodrama takes place and the hero wins her at last. But the climax is boring as it is similar to Gopichand’s Okkadunnadu. The director tried to make it fresh with the hospital setting and locations but failed.

The movie has a few good moments but it could have been better. The songs are okay and the cinematography is neat and impressive. The music is composed by multiple composers but it all works out well. The editing could have been better. Overall, Lover is a typical routine movie with a few commercial ingredients. Raj Tarun’s performance and the music are the only positive points in this film. Riddhi Kumar looks cute and her chemistry with the hero is decent. Other actors like Sachin Khedekar, Ajay and Rajeev Kanakala don’t leave much impact. Overall, this is another routine Telugu film to avoid.
