Lucky brand jeans are crafted with vintage details and premium features. They are available in a wide range of washes and sizes. You can choose from slim, relaxed straight, or bootcut jeans to suit your physique. They can also be customized with embroidery and other embellishments to make them your own.

The brand was founded in 1990 in Los Angeles by Barry Perlman and Gene Montesano. The pair wanted to set their jeans apart from other mall brands, so they added embellishments like rips and tears, plus a range of washes that made the jeans stand out. The line grew, and celebrity fans like Vanessa Hudgens and Rashida Jones started wearing the jeans.

In the early aughts, Lucky was a go-to for trendy denim and bohemian chic fashion. The brand was a hit with celebrities and mall shoppers alike, and the company continued to grow until it suffered sluggish sales as the rise of e-commerce began to hurt many of its peers.

Lucky was able to restructure and hire Gap and Williams & Sonoma veteran David DeMattei as CEO in 2010. He worked to streamline the brand and shift some of its manufacturing overseas, even though the brand had long been known for being an American-made company.

Before buying a pair of Lucky jeans, be sure to examine them carefully. You should feel the fabric with your hands and check for a soft texture and a heavy weight. If the fabric feels rough or has a plastic coating, it's likely not genuine. In addition, look for a tag on the waistband that says "Lucky Jeans" and a clover symbol.
