MANLY BEACH

Warm tan sand and cool aqua blue water are a winning combination along this stunning beach in the suburb of Manly in northern Sydney. The beach is set against a headland of beautiful pines and bushland, and is a great place to relax, swim or walk to get your daily exercise, and also for surfers catching plenty of waves.

Taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly is half the fun, and an ideal way to experience this iconic beach and its environs. The beach is a hub of activity and has countless cafes, restaurants and shops to choose from. It’s a great spot for people watching, and also a wonderful spot to have lunch or a drink with friends.

In addition to the beach there are a number of other popular activities in the area including kayaking, snorkelling, fishing and surfing. There is also a great range of shopping and accommodation, making this an excellent destination for both locals and visitors alike.

Located along the quieter end of the esplanade, and close to the famous Little Pearl Bar and Restaurant (which offers hawker-style shared plates), is the modern and welcoming Sebel hotel. Rooms are spacious, and well suited to families. The one and two-bedroom apartments feature kitchenettes, separate lounge/dining areas and balconies large enough to fit chairs and tables. The hotel has two outdoor pools, one in each tower, and the North Tower pool is especially lovely with its brick-red tile patio and furnished pavilion.
