Microsoft's acquisition gives it access to multibillion-dollar franchises like Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, while also expanding Game Pass subscription service and cloud gaming technology.

But this deal could run into difficulty with US antitrust regulators. A group of US Senators led by Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker and Sheldon Whitehouse wrote to Federal Trade Commission Chairwoman Lina Khan requesting she investigate it further.

Call of Duty

Call of Duty has long been one of the most beloved video games. Additionally, it is a staple in esports leagues around the world and provides players with a competitive environment in which to compete.

This game, developed by Infinity Ward, added more cinematic flair to the series with multiple viewpoints and celebrity voices, and introduced new levels of realism such as iron sights and shell shock for the first time ever.

Judge Andrew Koh ruled that Microsoft had demonstrated it did not have an incentive to keep Call of Duty exclusive to Xbox. While Microsoft could still appeal this ruling or continue its challenge to block this acquisition, Activision Blizzard's catalog will now be made available across multiple platforms; additionally Nvidia signed agreements bringing Call of Duty games such as Battlefield into their cloud gaming service.

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft, launched in 2004, remains one of the most beloved Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games (MMORPGs). Even after years of expansions, its universe remains expansive enough to keep players returning for more.

This game provides a deep fantasy setting with exquisite attention to detail. Characters progress by killing monsters and completing quests; its class system also allows them to craft their own hero - from an intimidating tauren warrior to an innovative gnome warlock!

Though Microsoft will promote Game Pass for its own titles, Spencer made clear that "Activision Blizzard games are enjoyed across various platforms and we plan to continue supporting those communities moving forward." If gamers do not wish to subscribe, AB sells individual titles from its library as well.

Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter featuring an expansive roster of heroes and maps, featuring two teams and competing to meet various objectives within a given time limit. Blizzard frequently releases new content such as seasonal events with themed gameplay or map reskins; additionally, loot boxes may offer cosmetic items. Although Overwatch is free-to-play, its optional loot boxes provide cosmetic items.

Blizzard has long been recognized for creating a robust lore around their game, including animated shorts that detail its history and setting. Furthermore, StarCraft 2 boasts an engaged community and strong presence on esports circuits worldwide.

Each season brings with it new maps and game modes as well as heroes for players to level up, opening up new skills and unlocking special perks for their heroes.

Battlefield series games are known for their intense multiplayer battles, large maps, and destructible environments. Furthermore, players often enjoy exploring various aspects of warfare history through single player campaigns in this franchise.

Battlefield V marks a return to World War II and brings with it its highest player count ever. Additionally, Conquest mode returns: two teams must capture sectors on the map while fighting over reinforcements that decrease as more territory is controlled.

While Battlefield 2042's new maps are visually captivating, they often feel too large and disorienting to provide an engaging gaming experience. Dynamic weather systems like tornadoes and sandstorms help to bring excitement into these vast sandboxes; but sometimes straying too close to chaos becomes too tempting an option.

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront offers an exceptional first-person shooter experience. While its modest structure (it is predominantly multiplayer with some single-player missions bolted on) does not promise major drama moments, you will certainly experience them nonetheless - whether charging through Endor forests, emerging into Hoth's whiteout landscape or blasting into battle around the Millennium Falcon - they all provide gamers an escapism pleasure that they have long desired for.

At its heart lies 'Supremacy' mode, two teams of 20 compete for outpost control on vast maps. Other notable modes include Walker Assault with four hero characters fighting each other directly as well as Starfighter Assault and Strike modes that use intricate sandbox systems that guarantee spectacular moments never stop occurring!
