Minox zv3 review - Best buy in a Quality optic

The ZV3 is an excellent scope for the money. It has a number of features that make it a standout in its class, including side focus parallax and high profile tactical turrets that are easy to see and use while aiming at a target. Additionally, this scope has a fully multi-coated lens and a 1 inch body tube, making it well suited for all types of hunting situations.

This particular model has a 44mm objective lens, which is an ideal middle ground between the 40mm and 50mm objectives found on other Minox ZV3 models. The 44mm objective should offer a little more light gathering capability than the 40mm, while still being capable of allowing the scope to be mounted lower than the 50mm model.

Interestingly, the ZV3 also has a different magnification ratio than other Minox models. Unlike the ZA5 line of scopes, which feature a 5:1 magnification range, the ZV3 has a 3:1 magnification range. While this may not seem like a major difference, it can be an important factor in selecting a scope for your specific needs.

Minox has engineered extraordinary durability into its scopes, but they are precision optical instruments that should be treated with reasonable care. For example, it is recommended that you avoid exposing your scope to extreme temperatures, and that you transport it in a case or padded wrap to prevent damage to the seals that keep the lenses fogproof and waterproof. In addition, it is important to keep the riflescope clean and to remove it from the firearm when not in use, to prevent accidental damage to the lenses.
