ktm 200 mxc review

A motocross dirt bike that can be used for racing or casual trail riding, the ktm 200 is one of the most popular off-road dirt bikes available. It's a powerful two-stroke that can be tuned to have more low-end torque or peak power based on your riding style.

Reliability & Maintenance

The KTM 200 is a reliable dirt bike as long as you take good care of it and keep the oil changing, air filter clean, and jetted properly. It can get 200+ hours on the top-end before you need a rebuild if you ride it regularly and keep it maintained.

Handling & Control

The 200cc engine makes more low-end torque than a 125, which is great for leaning and grabbing turns. It also has more mid-range and top-end power, which can be tunable to suit your riding style and personal preference.

Reliability & Maintainability

The KTM 200 is one of the most reliable dirt bikes available as long as you take good care of it. The engine is very tunable with power valve, jetting, pipe, and porting mods.

Suspension & Stability

The stock forks have changed a few times over the years, but they are still fairly easy to tune. They are adjustable with compression and rebound clickers, which is a good thing for casual trail riders as you can make them stiffer or softer to your liking.

Weight & Dryweight

The dry weight of the KTM 200 is 215-220 lbs, which is pretty comparable to the 250cc. The KTM 200 is a lightweight dirt bike that handles well off-road on tight trails and faster-flowing sections of the track.
