Akkineni hero Sumanth is back in business after a gap with Naruda Donoruda, the official remake of the Bollywood hit Vicky Donor. Starring Sumanth and Pallavi Subash in the lead, Naruda Donoruda has been directed by Mallik Ram and produced by SS Creations.
After a long break, Akkineni hero Sumanth makes his comeback with a bold sperm donation film. It is a directorial venture from Mallik Ram and this based on the same premise as Bollywood flick “Vicky Donor” has received much attention both among audiences and film fraternity.
In Telugu, Sumanth plays a careless young guy who turns sperm donor for money when he is approached by Dr. Anjaneyulu (Tanikella Bharani), an infertility specialist. He also falls in love with Ashima (Pallavi Subhash) and gets married to her.
What makes this a good film is that it takes a fresh angle on the subject of infertility by exploring the concept of sperm donation and how a person can be a sperm donor for another person’s pregnancy. It also deals with gender roles and sexuality.
It is refreshingly original as a sperm donation film and it elicits laughs without ever becoming crass. It is the perfect example of a modern romantic comedy that can entertain people while still staying away from vulgarity.
Moreover, it is not just about sperm donation but it is about how someone can change their life style in order to earn a fortune. The film also has a lot of sentiment and emotion coming in play with scenes between Sumanth and Tanikella character.
