Never Summer Ripper Review
If you are looking for a powerful all-mountain board that can float, carve, and rip in powder then this is the board for you. With a medium flex it is great for the intermediate rider and above. It is designed to be an all-mountain true twin snowboard and can take you anywhere on the mountain at a moment’s notice. The directional shape combined with the lightweight NS superlight wood core provides a snappy, energetic ride that offers plenty of power and stability at speed. The Ripsaw rocker camber profile has a mellow rocker section between your feet and then a strong, bowed camber section under your back foot.
This combination of cambers allows the ripper to be a great carving board on groomers and an excellent powder board as well. It is also very stable when it comes to jumping off large kickers and can easily handle any kind of terrain the mountain throws at you. The ripper performs very well in all of the metrics that I test for and is a really fun board.
The only downside to this board is it may be a little too much for the beginner as the medium flex can overwhelm someone who doesn’t have the basic skills down. This is still one of the best boards for the money and a great choice for anyone who loves to ride the whole mountain and wants to have high-performance nearly everywhere on the mountain.
