exp 7i treadmill review

The EXP 7i is one of NordicTrack’s newer models, and it’s their entry-level treadmill that hits the sweet spot for a home gym. It’s got a great incline range and speed, a cool cooling fan and an awesome cushioning system. It also has convenient one-touch incline/speed controls, and a surprisingly spacious storage tray underneath the console.

This model is powered by a 3.0 CHP Commercial Plus motor. This is comparable to the engine in the Horizon 7.0 AT, and it’s solid enough for walking and running. It can handle users up to 300 lbs.

Incline training is great for helping to strengthen glutes and hamstrings to help offset quad dominance and facilitate muscular balance in the lower body. This treadmill has a decent 12% incline, and you can adjust the incline manually or let iFit automatically do it for you.

Another great feature of this treadmill is that the deck folds vertically, which saves space when not in use. It’s very easy to do, and once folded you more than halve the size of the machine. It’s also very easy to move around with the built-in transport wheels. This unit also includes their EasyLift Assist, which is a hydraulic system that helps you lift or drop the deck with just a single touch. It’s a great, simple system that anyone can use. It’s a great feature, and it’s something that more treadmill manufacturers need to consider using in their machines.
