Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa return to the silver screens after a long time with Paani ch madhaani. The movie had a lot of expectations riding on it and the good news is that it managed to live up to most of them. The film has a great mix of entertainment, inspiration and emotions that keeps you glued to your seats. The acting from the lead pair and the supporting cast is superb with no character overshadowing the others. The direction is flawless as the director Vijay Kumar Arora who also directed Harjeet was able to build up the story and characters very well.
The plot of the film revolves around Gulli who leads a group of instrument artists who earn their living through stage performances. When he brings Sohni in the team, the entire band gets new momentum and starts performing well. But he has an insecurity against Sohni which can be seen clearly in his behavior throughout the movie.
The supporting actors like Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Iftikhar Thakur and Harby Sangha do a good job too. The film also has a few songs that are melodious and nice to listen. Overall, it’s a good movie to watch during the Diwali holidays.
